A Napa Legacy in the Heart of Yountville

Established in 1978 by vintner Pat Vinatieri, the Estate Vineyard occupies a meticulously farmed three-acre parcel at 6085 Solano Avenue, nestled within Yountville’s prestigious appellation. After fifteen years spent cultivating the soils, Pat planted a rare field blend of all five classic Bordeaux varieties—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc—on just two prime acres in 1993.

The vineyard sits at 20 to 200 feet elevation on nutrient-rich, gravelly alluvial silt-loam soils, uniquely influenced by cool bay breezes sweeping through the valley each afternoon. These ideal growing conditions naturally limit yields and extend ripening, delivering intense fruit complexity, vibrant acidity, and elegantly structured tannins distinctive to Yountville terroir.

Inspired by Old-World viticulture traditions, all five grape varieties are harvested simultaneously at daybreak and co-fermented, creating a seamless, harmonious wine. Annual production is intentionally limited—just 150 to 450 cases—and each vintage is gravity-fed, gently aged in French oak, and bottled unfiltered to fully capture the vineyard’s essence.

Today, Vinatieri Estate Vineyard remains family-operated, its wines privately allocated by invitation only—reflecting a Napa Valley rarity defined by heritage, meticulous craftsmanship, and absolute scarcity.
